The FREE “Arts Are The Heart” community art events held by the Fenton Arts Council for the last 4 years have been funded by grants, sponsors and donations. These events are organized by the all volunteer Fenton Art Council to help promote all forms of art in the community.

Due to the current pandemic, it has been difficult to procure sponsors and donations. The Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs just granted Emergency Relief Funds for these events from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Fenton Arts Council is especially grateful as this assist will help to continue the FREE community events.

New this year for the "Arts Are The Heart" series is the collaboration with local gallery "Cause & Affect" and local artists to bring a fine art exhibit to downtown Fenton, which opens on July 10th and will close on August 8th. Creative minds are forging forward to make this happen during our social distancing times. Reservations will be taken for daily viewing time slots and also a virtual gallery exhibit will be available.

In addition, the Fenton Arts Council continues to plan the August 15th “Arts Are The Heart” and Back to School Community Resource Fair and also an “Arts Are The Heart Mini Maker Fair” for November 7th.
